| Some time later, I found myself covered in the usual fine layer of dust and sweat as we bobbed and rolled around hairpin turns and assorted road obstructions. The serene calm of a young girl on the bus soothed me into a sense of security. | |||||||||||

| I had few expectations as I hastened to Rabinal. I had seen some textiles in Guatemala City that were rumored to have come from here and seeking their source seemed a reasonable goal. | |||||||||||
